Longest day of the year, shortest post about smallest and simplest projects.
Happy summer solstice! It's the longest day of the year and I'm going to write the shortest post possible about some of the smallest projects I could bring myself to finish in this summer heat. I have some larger projects that are beautiful and wooly, but I just feel like I'm going to swelter to death every time I think about them.
Small, cottony, lightweight projects? I'm all over them like humidity over Arkansas.
The only other thing I made that was close to an article of clothing or accessory was this lovely dishcloth dress. It's the Happy Day #2 pattern and I used scraps of some Sugarn' Cream. I love this cheerful little project!
And then there were dishcloths. Lightweight, useful, cottony dishcloths.
I made five dishcloths from Jane Brocket's The Gentle Art of Knitting. Thesethree are at a family friend's house as a hostess gift:
And these two are sitting in my gift stash.
And then there's my Knits and Purls dishcloth from Easy Textured Knits. This was one of my Knit in Public projects and the yarn is Sugarn' Cream. I honestly think this color is just called "Blue."
And there you have it! Summer has officially started and I've officially started my season of smaller projects. Happy Summer Solstice and happy crafting!
