  1. Something old - something new

Posted by Audrey V Jackson on 24th Apr 2013

I made this in 1975 for my first-born. It is easy and it is charming. I used the knitted hooded sweater pattern in the booklet many times over the years and I would say that has always been popular with every mom that receives it. I hope you make that pattern available again as well. Even though I have the original pattern, I would happily buy that sweater pattern again.

I have been looking for this pattern for quite some time on the computer and was so excited when I found it. Thanks for offering it. It is beautiful and everyone I gave it to was so thrilled with it. Thanks again

  3. Beautiful now....beautiful then

This hooded cape is wonderful & easy. I have made this pattern & still have my original copy. People still love it. It is certainly a classic pattern.

  4. Dear Unkown!

There are no corrections to the pattern. According to our expert, this is an older pattern that we would probably written a bit differently now because there are assumptions made that we would have spelled out now, like the skipped stitches and that the first 3 skipped chains on the beginning chain counts as a dc. Row 2 says to work the Shell in the third dc (skipping second dc), then (skip the next 3 dc and work a Shell in the next dc) across and work dc in the turning ch (skipping the next-to-last dc).

    Hope this helps.

  5. corrections to this pattern?

I have made this cape twice and both times I had a problem with the second row. Finally tweaked it enough to make it work. Just wondered before I start it again if there have been corrections to this pattern.

    Thank you.
