I have made this a few times and loved it so much I increased the design to double bed size and it is about 30 years old now and still like new, I want to do another baby one but I am stumped on a color combo that is for either girl or boy any suggestions?

I love the pattern - however have not had the opportunity to make it as yet. My plan is to complete this set while I am recuperating from a total knee surgery this coming Aug 5. I do not have anyone specific I am crocheting it for, but think perhaps it will be done for our mission group at our church.

I love the awesome colors and design of this pattern. I will be making more of them in the future.

I first bought this pattern in the 80's and have crocheted it for each of grand children and now my great grand children. Once you catch on to the pattern, it goes quickly and looks so difficult! It is beautiful. It won first prize at the state fair back in 1986! You'll be proud to create this heirloom. (I don't have to search for the book now! It's on my desktop!)

Love this pattern! Used bright colors, came out really pretty. Easy to crochet.

I had this pattern 24 years ago when I had my first child! I lost it over the years, but found it here just in time to make it for my first grandchild! It is colorful, and very easy to do!

This is an old pattern, but I think it is still a pattern that can be very versatile for any baby color scheme. The entire ensemble would make a great gift. This pattern particularly appealed to me because I think it's the basic granny design with a twist. I've been crocheting for many years, but I still need a pattern that is written in easy to follow terms. This one is perfect.

I was looking for a pattern to use with a roving yarn, to make into a full-sized afghan for my husband. I had seen this made up, famously in black and purple, and felt the pattern had enough contrast of variety and simplicity to make into a nice, manly blanket. The pattern was a joy to work with, and while I didn't do the yarn changes to create the rainbow as per the pattern, I did add an extra set of rounds to the pattern, as well as some extra panels to the length. The pattern was a joy to work with, and not only am I delighted with the outcome, so is my very fussy husband. :D

I had this pattern a long time ago. I made many of these. I somehow lost the book. Have been looking for the pattern to make more. My niece suggested to look on line. So glad I found it again. Everyone I have made this for just loves it. Thank You.
