I purchased the original book when it came out a very long time ago. Through my many moves and such, it got misplaced. I've been searching for a replacement and was in SHOCK that I found one! THANK YOU LEISURE ARTS!!!!!

I've been making this blanket and set for over 25 years. To this day, my friends can remember this blanket and often it's been kept as a keepsake. Seems like I even repaired one some time ago. I've received many photos with the babies and children (later) that have the blanket in this set. I can't go to a baby shower any more without one of these as a gift! It's like having your favorite dish to pass. :)

I inherited this pattern from one of the books I got from my sister when she died. I unfortunately loaned it to a friend who lost while moving. Cant tell you what a thrill is was to find again, especially since my granddaughter is now expecting my first greatgrandchild. Only Wish I could get the whole book.

I first made this blanket 35 years ago. The woman I made it for was expecting her first baby and loved it. I am so glad you put it back. I lost mine when I moved years ago. I have been looking for it. Thank you.

I made one of these in the mid-80s. I have had requests for THIS afghan ever since. Mostly for Brights.. did one in Red and White only for an xmas baby. Friends ask for the pattern, but until I saw this I had thought I was out of print. Going to my LYS to let them know it IS available WOW.. it is fun, easy and addictive with minimal finish construction.

I bought this pattern when I was pregnant with my son in 1987 because I loved the size and the pattern. It is in many photo's of him as a newborn and infant including the cherished generation pictures with those no longer with us. I loaned the blanket to my sister who used it with both her children. She gave it to my brother when his son was born. My brother returned it to me after his son outgrew it and I put it away in my cedar chest.
Little did I know when I was happily crocheting a blanket for my expected son in 1987 it would still be around for his son and my first grandson to be born in November 2013.
Even though I still have this pattern and have made this blanket and given it as a gift many, many times I love the idea of using what has become a family heirloom.
