A wavelike motion is created from your use of color sequences helping to give an undulating effect to your crocheted afghan. This lacy afghan is created by a repeated stitched shell pattern. Along with colorfully shaded ripples, these characteristics make this chevron-patterned afghan a part of your eye-catching room décor. Instructions for a Planned Afghan or a Scrap Afghan are included. The Lacy Chevron afghan uses worsted weight yarn and crochet hook size H (5.0 mm); its finished size is approximately 49” x 72”.

This afgan showed up on "Amish" show - I think this stitch has been called "flame" or "spike" stitch in the past. Pattern provides so many possibilities including using scrap yarn!!!

Great pattern. Trust the pattern for rows 1 and 2. By row 3 it will be a breeze.
