Debbie Mumm's Greenwood Gardens (#4237)
For this collection of quilts and decorative crafts, Debbie Mumm traveled a few miles from her Washington home to visit a picturesque garden in a farming community called Davenport. Choose from fascinating bed quilts like Marigold Morning, wall quilts like Fabric Foliage and Wild Flowers, and projects like her mosaic glass Sunflower Window.

Twisting Seams: For ease in construction when using quarter-square triangles, we add a twist (see diagram).
When pressing the last seam, twist the center of the seam so that it fans into a square. The stitches in the "square" will pull loose. All seam allowances fan out in the same direction to eliminate excess bulk.

Preventing Show-Through: When mounting a stitched piece on a dark surface, back it first with a piece of paper that coordinates with the fabric color. This will keep the dark surface from showing through the holes in the fabric and will help prevent the edges of the fabric from fraying.
